Connecticut Exchange Honors Bruce
01st Feb 2012
For the last fifteen years, the Connecticut Exchange Newsletter- the Nutmeg Express has been created composed, printed, and delivered to the membership by one member. That member is Bruce Greenfield. If you think Bruce Greenfield is an institution with the CT District Exchange, you may be right. It seems like he's been the one and only editor of the Nutmeg Exchange for 30 years. But as Bruce said at the last District meeting, “those 30 years have only been 15”. Bruce has been editor of The Nutmeg Exchange since 1996. With the electronic age catching up with all of us, Bruce has relinquished his duties and will be reading our newsletter
online. At the District meeting Connecticut Exchange Club President, Peter Cascini recognized Bruce’s efforts and accomplishments in producing the newsletter, which led to a standing ovation by all in attendance. Bruce and Nancy moved to Old Saybrook in 1982 and joined the Exchange Club in 1983. He's been active in his club and the District since 1987, having served as District President in 1994. He and Nancy have enjoyed their Exchange experience ever since he joined. He was chairman of the Youth of the Year for 2 years and chairman of our District convention for 2 more. He helped organize the first Salute and has been on that committee. Outside of
Exchange, he is on the Old Saybrook Economic Development Committee. Self employed for many years, he and Nancy have 3 daughters, 1 son and 8 grandchildren.
